Managing Partners
- Tony Michalak
- Colin Vorhies
Tony Michalak brings nearly two decades of investment expertise and a principal-level mindset to Bridlewood Partners. Prior to founding the firm, Tony was a Partner and key member of the Investment Committee at Coho Partners, a multi-billion AUM investment management firm.
Tony’s investment approach was forged during his 13+ year tenure at Alleghany Corporation (acquired by Berkshire Hathaway in 2022), where he was responsible for driving portfolio construction and leading fundamental research for the firm’s public equity portfolios. Tony has a proven record of active engagement with management teams and boards, focusing on strategies designed to unlock value and growth—a rigorous approach he now applies to Bridlewood Partners’ stewardship. His most formative years were spent on the Alleghany team responsible for acquiring and integrating thriving family-owned businesses. This process taught him that true value comes from a shared, multi-generational vision.
Tony graduated from Lehigh University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. Outside of the office, he enjoys playing ice hockey and cherishes spending time with his wife and two children.
Colin Vorhies brings nearly two decades of institutional investment experience across public and private markets. At Bridlewood Partners, he draws on this foundation and a commitment to genuine long-term partnerships to help management teams navigate periods of growth and transition.
